KIM ORMSBY JOINS ANENTA AS ASSISTANT DIRECTOR

KIM ORMSBY JOINS ANENTA AS ASSISTANT DIRECTOR

Anenta, an independent healthcare waste management company, has appointed Kim Ormsby, former vice chair of the NHS’ National Performance Advisory Group’s (NAPG) Sustainability Leaders Network and NPAG Waste Management, as new Assistant Director.

Brought on board to boost Anenta’s senior management team, Kim will be responsible for managing waste contracts, overseeing clinical waste logistics, service delivery and waste disposal performance for many of its key customers. This includes overseeing contracts with NHS England and NHS Improvement (NHSE&I). Kim will also focus on expanding the company’s client base and facilitating new opportunities for growth.

Kim brings with her over twenty years’ experience within the Estates and Facilities sector, and joins from a previous waste management role within the NHS, where she was involved in analysing, auditing and scruntinising waste functions to improve service efficiency.

Heavily experienced in managing waste contracts for the NHS, Kim understands both the private and public sides of the healthcare sector, having worked as National Head of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Sustainability for NHS Property Services, and as Waste Manager for Grundon Waste Management, London North West NHS Trust.

Kim holds a BA (Hons) in Environmental Studies and a Post Graduate Diploma in Management.

Commenting on her new role, Kim said: “Having worked on the other side of the fence within the NHS, I’ve seen firsthand the number of inefficiencies that occur within the waste management process. These can cost authorities many hundreds of thousands of pounds, but it doesn’t have to be that way.

“Anenta uses Vector, its cutting-edge, real-time smart technology, to identify and create opportunities to streamline waste services and reduce unnecessary costs through enhanced efficiencies.  Processing everything from irregularities and overbilling, to aiding clients with complex waste and pre-acceptance audits, we take the pain away from managing healthcare waste, so that healthcare settings can focus on delivering vital services.

“For me, it’s a pleasure to be able to offer authorities and waste providers access to Vector as it brings clients, suppliers and other stakeholders to a single point of unified management with complete transparency.”

Commenting on Kim’s appointment, Graham Flynn, said: “Kim is incredibly well-versed in sustainability, public sector processes and cost improvement initiatives. She’s a fantastic asset both to our team and to our clients, and strongly aligns with our values, which are to give authorities greater control over their waste at the same time as delivering best value and reduced administrative requirements. Her knowledge and expertise will play a key role in ensuring high standards of services and customer satisfaction.”

With a multitude of clients in the healthcare sector including the NHS, local authorities and care homes, Anenta delivers bespoke, affordable, and professional end-to-end waste management solutions that provide cost savings, smart tech innovations, enhanced efficiencies, and transparency to its clients.

Anenta does not provide waste collection services itself but instead manages the process on behalf of authorities (GPs, pharmacies or care homes), assisting the waste provider and ensuring value for money.
