Arc Partnership, the joint venture partnership between Nottinghamshire County Council (NCC) and public sector procurement specialist Scape Group, has launched a £10.6m framework to develop and maintain Nottinghamshire County Council’s property portfolio.
The Repairs, Servicing and Maintenance framework has been designed to benefit SMEs and the local economy, with 11 businesses across 12 lots who will deliver the scheme over the next three years.
The framework, which forms a part of Arc Partnership’s support for more than 40 local companies across its supply chain network, will deliver specialist property maintenance services across NCC’s wide-ranging property portfolio including the iconic County Hall.
It will continue to deliver a 24-hour, year-round support for the County Council, whilst championing the regional economy through the use of local suppliers and will deliver an estimated 12,000 planned and reactive repairs every year.
Established in 2016, Arc Partnership has procured, delivered and continues to deliver over 1,600 individual projects on behalf of Nottingham County Council and the community it serves, worth more than £172m. These include new schools, offices, refurbishment works, planned maintenance, responsive repairs and servicing, compliance, infrastructure and new build works centred upon economic regeneration and inward investment, as well as a number of third-party projects.
Councillor Reg Adair, Deputy Leader at Nottinghamshire County Council, said: “Public sector infrastructure and property maintenance works, will continue to play an integral role in our plan to stimulate the economic recovery across Nottinghamshire. By focusing on the use of local businesses with these maintenance contracts, we intend to provide much needed stability as well as project visibility for a diverse range of SMEs so they can continue to flourish and invest in skills and job creation.
“Arc Partnership is an integral delivery vehicle for the County Council that focuses upon delivering value for money, quality of output and customer service excellence. We see this framework as a natural continuation of the value that the Arc team brings and we welcome the successful delivery partners within this new framework.”
Daniel Maher, MD of Arc Partnership, said: “This successful re-procurement delivers much-needed certainty at a time when small and medium-sized contractors will be all too aware of the challenges that lie ahead in terms of both sustaining their businesses and generating commercial growth.
"Many of our existing SME partners have used our frameworks as a means to build their business, delivering significant social and economic benefits to Nottinghamshire. By providing pipeline certainty and the opportunity to develop relationships with Scape’s wider network of regional and national delivery partners, this new framework will continue to create real value for our new delivery partners, the County Council and the local community across Nottinghamshire.”
