PEACOCK ENGINEERING APPOINTS FIRST COO

IBM expert Matthew Deadman has been appointed the first Chief Operating Officer (COO) at Peacock Engineering, a global specialist in designing and delivering Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) solutions built on IBM Maximo, headquartered in Little Chalfont, Bucks. Peacock Engineering also has offices in Bristol, Leeds and Bangalore.

His appointment is part of Peacock Engineering’s strategic investment to expand its dedicated C-Suite team and strengthen its leadership team, expand upon its IBM skills base, and extend its services globally following nine months of exponential growth including a 30% growth in its workforce.

With a background in inventing and pioneering IoT solutions, Deadman has a long-standing relationship with Peacock Engineering, having worked closely with the company in his previous tenures at IBM, and through IBM’s distributor Arrow, where Matthew led the business to achieve £80m of IBM revenue per year through its team of more than 20 people.

With over 10 years of combined experience in IBM software, hardware and managed services, including the Maximo Application Suite, Matthew brings with him a wealth of IBM expertise and knowledge and is adept at building high performing teams to deliver EAM solutions. He will focus on the agility and competitive edge of the business, ensuring that Peacock Engineering continues to respond swiftly to changing markets and delivers solutions even faster on a global scale.

He will also be joined by Helen Fearne, the new Head of PMO, while Dominic Bramley becomes Head of Pre-Sales Technical Services in a further move to increase the company’s IBM expertise.

Commenting on his position, Deadman said: “I’m delighted to be appointed as Peacock Engineering’s first COO. It shows the company's confidence and commitment to invest in its people, and to extend the services we offer for our broad range of customers. Alongside Helen and Dominic, I’m pleased to join Peacock Engineering at such a pivotal time as we continue to build a high calibre team who can efficiently deliver their direct knowledge of IBM solutions.”

Alan Cambridge, CEO of Peacock Engineering, added: “With our client base expanding rapidly, and the demand for expert knowledge of IBM solutions growing, we’re thrilled to welcome Matthew as our Chief Operating Officer. Deadman’s direct experience of IBM will continue to take our team from strength to strength and will help us review our services to build even better new best practices that ultimately benefit our customers.”
