Sitemark, the independent benchmarking service for the facilities management industry, has appointed David Hylton as wellness consultant.
One of Hylton’s first projects will be to develop a working from home wellness assessment tool. As millions of people experience working from home for the first time, the tool will help employers gather feedback about how they can support their staff.
Hylton’s long-term brief is to develop wellness benchmarking criteria to complement Sitemark’s benchmarking expertise in other areas of facilities management including cleaning, security and waste management. He will also directly work with Sitemark clients based in the south east from his location in Surrey.
Hylton has a strong background in the facilities management industry having previously worked in director-level positions for several FM service providers as well as running his own business. His career highlights include commissioning the soft services for the Commonwealth Games in Manchester.
“I’m delighted to join Sitemark and put my knowledge, enthusiasm and experience in the sector to practice. I am passionate about wellness and the increasingly important role it plays in the workplace. As we start to return to work after the Coronavirus pandemic, I believe we’ll see an even greater focus on this area and there will be a requisite need to benchmark wellness programmes to ensure they’re achieving what they set out to do. I look forward to advising Sitemark’s clients on achieving best practice in this area,” said Hylton.
