Churchill London, a division of Churchill Contract Services, has been awarded a combined cleaning and security contract by The Royal College of Surgeons (RCS) for its premises in London.
The two and a half year contract includes the day-to-day cleaning of the office spaces, porterage and front of house services. The RCS is currently in temporary accommodation while its main ‘Barry-designed’ grade II* listed building is redeveloped into a modern and flexible facility. Churchill’s contract with the RCS covers the temporary accommodation adjacent to the Barry building.
The RCS was reassured by Churchill’s track record and the innovative aspects of the proposal. For example, the introduction of the Purex water system was a draw factor, not just because of the reduced costs of cleaning materials but because it also supports the RCS’s move towards a more sustainable operating model.
Walter Hand, Facilities Manager at RCS, said: “Churchill’s bid demonstrated not only value for money, but also highlighted where innovations could be used to deliver added value and drive efficiencies going forward.”
Joe Saisi, Operations Director at Churchill London, said: “We’re excited to work with such a prestigious organisation like the RCS, and we hope to make its time in temporary premises as comfortable as possible. I’m looking forward to seeing the contract progress as we collaborate on developing a streamlined facilities management strategy and assisting the RCS team ahead of its move back into the redeveloped building.”
