EXITING LOCKDOWN: LATEST TECHNOLOGY HELPING EMLOYEES FEEL SAFER

EXITING LOCKDOWN: LATEST TECHNOLOGY HELPING EMLOYEES FEEL SAFER

Many people are still wary about venturing out as lockdown restrictions ease, without reassurance they’ll be safe to return to much-needed work. It’s a challenge for facilities managers across the country to support employees, safeguard their sites and protect, as far as is possible, those who work in and visit them.

One proven solution is the new Body Temperature Detection Cameras, now available from Clearway Environmental Services. They offer organisations across the spectrum a way to monitor people without physical contact, thereby reducing the risk of viral spread in workplaces and other settings.

These small thermal cameras can help detect elevated body temperature which may indicate the presence of a fever.  With technology offering accuracy of down to ±0.1°, it can take such a camera less than a second to detect someone’s temperature, thus allowing large numbers of people to be screened at the same time whilst on the move, i.e. through a turnstile or entry gate/doors.

As people pass one of these cameras, built-in audio will trigger an alarm to notify a supervisor immediately when a person with an elevated body temperature is detected, enabling their admission to a building or site to be temporarily prevented until their temperature can be checked again personally with a manual thermometer.

Clearway is currently dealing with a huge surge in interest in these easily installed, simple systems and believes they are one of the easiest and best ways to reassure staff, visitors and the public in these uncertain times that their workplace, travel or retail destination is being protected as far as is possible. It’s also going to assist the hospitality and leisure trade to get back on its feet when venues are allowed to start opening up again.
