Off-grid energy supplier Flogas Britain has partnered with renowned boiler manufacturer Hoval Ltd, to provide off-grid businesses nationwide with a complete turnkey LPG solution that’s led by one expert team from start to finish.
The new partnership will benefit facilities managers across the UK looking for an effective, reliable off-grid heating and hot water supply. Not only will it provide businesses with enhanced efficiencies, but it could lower running costs, helping to boost their bottom line. For those switching from fuels like oil, it will also help to reduce their environmental impact. With up to 20% lower carbon intensity*, LPG is a cleaner, more efficient energy source than oil, helping businesses on the road to a lower carbon future.
Working together, Flogas and Hoval will manage the whole solution – specifying, installing, and maintaining bespoke LPG solutions that meet business’s exact needs, whilst also providing an on-going, reliable energy supply. Flogas will manage customers’ LPG storage and supply, whilst Hoval will provide and install modern, high efficiency boilers, taking away old equipment. Customers will receive the best possible customer service, receiving expert guidance as well as market-leading maintenance packages. They will also benefit from flexible finance options along with bespoke payment plans, helping them manage cashflow.
“We wanted to make the process as easy as possible for businesses looking to switch to LPG,” said Sophie Print, Head of New Energies at Flogas. “Previously, they would come to us just for the LPG supply, and then source their own boiler separately. But now, we can do it all for them, so they don’t have to! We’ll take the hassle out of upgrading their heating system, leaving them with more time to carry on doing what they do best, and helping them run their business in a more energy efficient way. They can also rest assured they’ve got the right products, a trusted supply, and a specialist team behind them the whole time.
“We wanted to work with Hoval specifically, as there is a great synergy between our businesses. Hoval has extensive national coverage, top quality products, it’s well established, and provides fantastic customer support. It’s also well ahead of the curve when it comes to addressing decarbonisation, which is also top of our agenda.
“At Flogas, we’re constantly evolving our portfolio of low carbon and renewable technologies, as well as investigating renewable green gases like bio-propane, renewable DME, ammonia and hydrogen. It was crucial we partnered with a company that’s forward thinking too. Hoval technology is future fuel ready (with the ability to operate on a Hydrogen blend), and that means together we can fully support customers on their road to net zero emissions.”
LPG is an increasingly popular off-grid energy source, providing reliable, efficient heating, hot water and cooking gas. It’s also one of the cleanest, most efficient conventional off-grid fuels available. Businesses switching from oil not only benefit from significant carbon savings, but also better air quality, as it emits far fewer pollutant emissions, including nitrous oxide (NOx), sulphur oxide (SOx) and particulate matter (PM).
Ross Halley, Sales Director from Hoval adds, “Our high performance, modern LPG boilers can improve efficiency by up to 20%, helping businesses to cut costs considerably. Pair this with Flogas’s reliable LPG and customers are gaining surety of supply in the most cost effective away. Plus, they get the full package and our combined expertise all in one place, saving them valuable time and effort.
“Partnering with Flogas is particularly exciting, as we share their commitment to creating a lower carbon future. At Hoval we’re constantly innovating, so we can offer future-proof options for the betterment of the environment. By combining our expertise and working together we’ll be able to make a real impact, helping off-grid businesses on the right road to lower emissions.”
LPG is set to play an important part in helping off-grid Britain on the road to Net Zero emissions. To support this, Flogas has invested heavily in improving the security of the nation’s supply. It’s developed the UK’s largest LPG storage terminal in Avonmouth, Bristol and it has also recently signed a deal that will see up to 120,000 tonnes of LPG turned inland at Teeside this winter – all of which will provide real security of supply as demand grows.
