One of the capital’s largest independent cleaning contractors Julius Rutherfoord, has retained £30m worth of education cleaning contracts, awarded in the last two months, and spread over the next five years.
The company, which operates in London and the surrounding boroughs, cleans 136 education sites – both in the state and independent education sectors, providing 13,000 hours of cleaning each week to keep staff and pupils alike safe. Across all its sites, Julius Rutherfoord provides close to 30,000 hours of cleaning services each week.
The retentions include City, University of London, which has awarded a three plus two-year contract extension; London Borough of Merton Schools for the same contract period – covering 48 school sites; All Saints Catholic College and Edmonton County School together with the new SEMH Free School, Salmon’s Brook School which are both part of the Edmonton Academy Trust Schools, now called ‘Edact’.
