Churchill Contract Services has announced the successful procurement of a three-year cleaning contract commencing on 1st March 2018 with St George’s, University of London.
This is the first time Churchill has worked with St George’s and the agreement was secured via the London Universities Purchasing Consortium (LUPC) framework. The LUPC is a not-for-profit organisation that aims to maximise value through the collaborative procurement of goods and services for its members – consisting of higher and further education institutions in London and the South East. Churchill was awarded a place on the framework in 2016 following a competitive application process.
All members of staff will be transferred from the incumbent contractor to Churchill and the contract will include cleaning, pest control, landscaping, waste, window cleaning, curtain cleaning and washroom services to the academic and residential buildings.
Established in 1733, some of the founding fathers of medicine - including Edward Jenner who developed a vaccine against the killer disease smallpox - have passed through St George’s. The university has an illustrious history of training doctors, and to this day it is the only UK University dedicated solely to medical and health sciences education, training and research.
