ONEWISH TO HOLD INAUGURAL CONFERENCE

ONEWISH TO HOLD INAUGURAL CONFERENCE

OneWISH, a coalition that has been formed to promote women and inclusion in safety and health, will have its inaugural conference on 9th March 2021.

The coalition focuses on forging positive, productive links between the various health and safety networks around the globe, and to bring positive change and inclusion of women and other minority groups in the industry. 

The virtual congress will coincide with International Women’s Day. 

This event will include speakers from health and safety networks across the globe, and will showcase the work of women in safety and health. 

Speakers on the day are scheduled to include:

  • Keynote: Keryn James, Group Chief Executive, ERM, who will be talking about building a thriving workforce.
  • Keynote: Christine Sullivan, Senior Vice President, American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP), who will also talk about Journey in ASSP. 
  • Dr Aseni Wickramatillake Workplace Safety & Health Association, who will speak about increased female representation in safety, bringing a holistic approach to safeguarding workers in the developing countries (Sri Lanka). 
  • Trish Kerin Director IChemE Safety Centre, who will be talking about lessons in leadership.
  • Subhash Bhatt, Country Manager, Production Safety (India), Netflix, who will speak about safety in film and TV.
  • Kathy Seabrook, CEO, Global Solutions Inc, who will be talking about OSH Human Capital-Safety and Health Professionals. 
  • Lorenzo Visenti, Group Environment, Health & Safety, Arriva, who will be speaking about real world risks to women workers.

The online event will be on all day from 9.30 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. (GMT), and is made up of various workshops and presentations. It will be hosted by Anne Gardner-Aston (Chair) and Louise Hosking (Founder) of OneWISH.
